چکیده
Abstract. Clinching is a versatile mechanical joining method for assembling different sheet metal materials without auxiliary elements in short process times. The joint strength, however, solely relies on the material condition and its targeted interlock formation. Therefore, accurate models are necessary incorporating all relevant phenomena to reliably predict behaviour. We extend finite elastoplastic model by plastic orthotropy of simulation. anisotropy captured variants 3D Hill 1948 yield function with associative non-associative flow. constitutive clinching simulation outlined utilised study influence focusing aluminium alloy EN AW-6014.

Clinching for sheet materials
Latest developments in the clinching of sheet materials are reviewed in this article. Important issues are discussed, such as tool design, process parameters and joinability of some new lightweight sheet materials. Hybrid and modified clinching processes are introduced to a general reader. Several unaddressed issues in the clinching of sheet materials are identified.
